Buying your first home can be extremely exciting. It may be that you have recently decided to move in with a partner or that you have been renting for a while and have decided its time to buy your own home.
When looking for houses there are a number of factors to consider and dependant on your personal circumstances, these factors can change. If you have children of school age or approaching school age then you may consider the schools that are in the local area. If you have to travel to work you may have to look in to the distance and time it would take and possibly the public transport options.
Other factors that often come in to play when buying a home is the condition of the property. Some people like to buy homes as a project and they like to be able to put their own stamp on it before moving in where as others would rather find a house that is already finished to their standards allowing them to move straight in.
